Your first referral
How to send a referral link, what counts as a completed referral, and what happens when one is recorded.
A referral is the only way to obtain a Pal outside of drops and playdates. This page covers the whole path, from finding your link to the Pal appearing in your collection.
Find your link
Open the account menu and select Referrals. Your link is shown at the top of the screen with a copy control beside it.
The link is unique to your account and does not expire. You can share the same link any number of times; the programme counts the accounts opened through it, not the number of times it was sent.
Send it
Any channel works. The link carries no tracking beyond the referral identifier it contains.
The person you invite must not already hold an account, and must not have held one previously. If they have, the link still opens, but no referral is recorded.
What counts as complete
A referral moves through two states. It is pending from the moment the invited person begins signing up, and recorded once they finish verification and their account opens.
Only recorded referrals produce Pals. A pending referral that is not completed within 30 days is discarded, and the invited person can be referred again afterwards.
What happens next
When the referral is recorded, a Pal hatches immediately and appears in your collection. You receive a notification with the Pal's tier and traits.
Nothing further is required from you. The Pal is yours from the moment it hatches; it simply cannot be sold or traded for the first seven days.

Referrals beyond the monthly limit are held and recorded on the first day of the following month, in the order they completed.
