Earning Treats
The four ways Treats enter your balance, and the amounts attached to each.
Treats are the unit used to price Pals inside the programme. They have no cash value. Read Treats are not money before you plan around them.
The four sources
| Source | Amount |
|---|---|
| Recorded referral | 40 |
| Weekly streak bonus | 10 per week held, to a maximum of 80 |
| Leaderboard placement | 25 to 300, by position |
| Marketplace sale | The listed price, less the listing fee |
There is no fifth source. Treats are not purchasable and are not issued by support.
Referrals
Every recorded referral credits 40 Treats alongside the Pal it produces. The credit is immediate and is not reversed if the referred account later closes.
Referrals held against the monthly limit credit when they are recorded, not when they completed.
Streaks
The streak bonus is paid at the end of each calendar week in which you recorded at least one referral. It scales with the number of consecutive weeks held and stops scaling at eight.
A broken streak resets the bonus to its first-week value. See Referral streaks.
Leaderboards
Weekly leaderboard placements pay at the close of the week. All-time placements do not pay; they are display only.
The full table of placement amounts is on Leaderboards.
Sales
When a Pal you listed sells, the buyer's Treats move to your balance less the listing fee. The transfer settles when the sale completes; there is no holding period.
Where the balance is shown
Your balance appears in the account menu and on every screen where a price is displayed. It is a single figure with no sub-accounts, no pending portion, and no interest.
