Seasonal and limited drops
How drop windows work, what they add, and what they do not change.
A drop is a bounded period during which an additional trait set becomes available to newly hatched Pals. Drops are the only source of Mythic Pals.
Windows
Each drop has a start time, an end time, and a supply figure, all published before the window opens. The window closes at the stated time whether or not the supply has been exhausted.
If the supply is exhausted first, the window closes early and the remaining referrals in that period produce ordinary Pals at their usual tier.
What a drop adds
A drop adds trait options; it does not remove or replace any. A Pal hatched during a window can draw from both the standing option set and the drop set.
Pals hatched during a window carry that drop's marker permanently, whether or not they drew a drop trait. The marker records when the Pal hatched, not what it looks like.
What a drop does not change
Existing Pals are not affected by a drop. No trait is added to them, no marker is applied retroactively, and no tier is recalculated.
Drops do not change the maturity window, the referral limit, or any listing rule. A Mythic Pal hatched on the last hour of a drop is listable seven days later, on the same terms as everything else.
After a window closes
Drop traits stop being drawn when the window closes and are not reintroduced. The permutation count returns to its standing figure.
Pals that drew a drop trait keep it. They remain listable and tradable on the ordinary terms, and their traits are displayed the same way as any other Pal's.
